Israel is a party to the Warsaw Convention and a number of the Protocols that have amended it. Those international agreements set forth rules concerning the jurisdiction of national courts in aviation cases.
A substantial body of case law has developed in the US, Canada, the UK, and in other countries concerning the Warsaw Convention and its Protocols. Israeli courts tend to view their jurisdiction in international air transit cases more broadly than their counterparts in other countries.
Mr. Sherby has represented numerous foreign air carriers in air cargo and air transit disputes before Israeli courts. He has also represented plaintiffs in some of the most high-profile air accident cases involving Israeli parties.
